"I ordered this kit for myself but after starting to work the pattern, I decided I would finish it for my older sister who will be 90 in January. I will make another of the same pattern from yarn I have purchased separately since I got that kit. The pattern is complex but is lovely now that I am far enough along with it to see how it will actually look when it is finished. I am not fond of seed stitch but it does make a nice border for the rest of the pattern. In all, I am quite pleased."

"good bargain The price was excellent and I really like the pattern. It's working up nicely. But the yarn is too stiff and scratchy for an afghan. I will not do another project with this yarn. I've noticed this problem before with different brands of acrylic yarns in certain green shades. Unfortunately, I forgot about that tendency."
